Hi, my name is Steph. I’m an Occupational Therapist who recently stepped out from the comfort of working from home and into a clinic space in town — a move that came with a healthy dose of imposter syndrome and a strong belief that good OT should be practical, accessible, and grounded in real life.
I grew up in Mungindi, a small rural community on the NSW–QLD border. Rural life has always been central to who I am. My husband grew up in Inverell, and together we are raising our two children in this beautiful community I now consider my forever home. These strong rural ties underpin my commitment to ensuring people living outside metropolitan areas can access high quality, evidence based occupational therapy.
My practice is grounded in a function focused, person centred approach. I work with individuals across the lifespan to assess and address functional capacity, participation, and safety in everyday activities, with a strong emphasis on meaningful outcomes rather than diagnosis alone. Health promotion and early intervention are key components of my work, supporting people to maintain independence, build capacity, and prevent secondary complications wherever possible.
I have a strong clinical background in injury management, working with both physical and psychological injuries, and a particular interest in chronic pain. I currently work part-time as a contracted pain coach, supporting individuals to develop practical strategies that enable engagement in daily life despite ongoing pain.
Access to services is a core value of my practice. I offer flexible service delivery, including community-based face to face services and telehealth, to ensure people in rural and regional communities can receive timely, high-quality occupational therapy. I also love a scenic drive to new places. Remote Rehab is about the rehab that reaches you.
