NDIS Functional Capacity Assessment

An NDIS Functional Capacity Assessment (FCA) is a comprehensive occupational therapy assessment that looks at how a person’s disability impacts their ability to manage everyday activities. It evaluates functioning across key areas such as self-care, mobility, communication, social participation, and daily living tasks. The assessment provides clear, evidence-based recommendations to support NDIS planning, funding decisions, and goal setting, focusing on what supports are needed to maximise independence and participation.

NDIS Assistive Technology Assessments

An NDIS Assistive Technology (AT) Assessment evaluates a participant’s need for equipment or technology to support safety, independence, and participation in everyday activities. It identifies appropriate assistive devices based on the person’s functional needs, environment, and goals, and provides clear recommendations and justification to support NDIS funding decisions.

NDIS Capacity Building

NDIS Capacity Building focuses on developing a participant’s skills, confidence, and independence to improve their ability to manage daily life and participate meaningfully in their community. Our role is to work alongside participants to build functional skills, provide education and strategies, and support sustainable independence aligned with their goals, reducing reliance on supports over time where possible.

FACT (Fast Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) Sessions

Our 30-minute FACT sessions provide a structured, supportive space to explore thoughts, emotions, and behaviours using principles from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Through practical strategies, participants learn to accept difficult experiences, clarify their values, and take meaningful action toward their goals. Sessions are designed to build resilience, improve wellbeing, and support lasting positive change in daily life. A function-focused mental health approach.

Aged Care

The occupational therapy role in aged care focuses on supporting older people to remain independent, safe, and engaged in everyday activities. This includes assessing function, reducing risks such as falls, recommending strategies, home modifications or equipment, and enabling continued participation in meaningful daily routines.

Pain Management

The occupational therapy role in pain management focuses on supporting people to continue engaging in meaningful daily activities despite persistent pain. This includes education about pain, activity pacing, graded engagement, energy conservation, environmental or task modification, and building self-management strategies to improve function, confidence, and quality of life.

Injury Management and Training

We help employers manage workplace injuries and maintain a safe, productive workforce. Our occupational therapy services include ergonomic assessments, injury prevention strategies, and tailored staff training. By identifying risks, recommending workplace modifications, and supporting rehabilitation, we assist organisations to reduce injury-related costs, improve staff wellbeing, and ensure employees can perform their roles safely and effectively.

Children’s health promotion groups focus on supporting children to develop foundational skills for healthy growth, participation, and wellbeing. These groups promote movement, play, social skills, emotional regulation, and healthy routines through engaging, age-appropriate activities, while also supporting early skill development and positive lifelong healthy habits.

Our youth health promotion groups empower young   people to develop essential life skills in a supportive, hands-on environment. Through practical activities such as meal preparation, home management, social skills, and emotional regulation, participants build confidence, independence, and resilience. The program helps young people gain the tools they need to manage everyday life, achieve their goals, and thrive in their communities. A supportive transiton to adulthood no matter the challenge.
